REPORT ON W4W SEPTEMBER 2008:

This year's annual Women For Women Trail Mix was an amazingly huge success. A beautiful sunny race-day with 66 paticipants raised awareness again of the financial needs of single female parents who are seeking education. The amount raised was $2500.00. That provides five $500.00 bursaries, one more than last year. Single moms will be able to apply at North Island College. Check out www.nic.bc.ca.

PLANNED FOR SEPTEMBER 2009:

  • a kid's run
  • mums for moms
  • a spa day

  MISSION STATEMENT:

The Women For Women 5k/10k educational bursary serves a need for female single parents. When raising children sometimes life takes a turn for the worst. Mothers need to know there is something out there to help them prepare and focus on a future for their families.

Living and learning with physical activity and educational goals will provide a future for a healthier and happier lifestyle.

Come out and support women in education.

The Women for Women race involves participaction at any pace. We are only competitive within ourselves. Remember it's not about the race...it's about the cause.
